The Services are designed for adults; minors may use them only with parental supervision.

You may not reverse engineer, misuse, or interfere with the Services.
All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by Butler.
4. User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of content you upload.
You grant Butler a limited license to store and display your content solely within your account to operate the Services.
Personal-use imports (cookbooks, blogs, photos you took yourself) are allowed. Public redistribution or infringement is not allowed.
You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to all content you upload or import into the Services.
Imported recipes, images, and other content saved to your Butler account are intended for personal use only and are stored privately within your account. Butler does not make user-imported content publicly visible or accessible to other users.
Butler may introduce optional features in the future that allow users to share their own original recipes, meal plans, or other content with others. Any such sharing will be voluntary and opt-in, and users will be responsible for ensuring they have the rights to share any content they choose to make available. Additional terms, controls, or restrictions may apply to shared content if and when such features are introduced.

6. AI Features
Certain features of the Services use artificial intelligence technologies provided by third-party service providers, including OpenAI, to generate responses, recommendations, and image analysis.
AI-generated content is provided for informational and convenience purposes only. Butler does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated outputs. AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or based on assumptions, and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for decisions related to cooking, nutrition, allergies, or dietary needs.
Butler does not use user or creator data to train artificial intelligence models.
You remain responsible for reviewing and verifying ingredients, allergens, instructions, and suitability for your personal needs before preparing or consuming any food.
AI-Generated Recipe Images: Recipe images generated or displayed through the Services may be created using licensed stock photography selected to visually represent a recipe as closely as possible. These images are illustrative only and may not exactly match the ingredients, preparation steps, or final appearance of a recipe. In some cases, an image may be inaccurate or incomplete. Users should rely on recipe instructions and ingredient lists—not just images—when preparing food.
7. Not Medical Advice
You are solely responsible for verifying allergens and food safety. Butler is not responsible for any adverse reactions, illness, or injury resulting from the preparation or consumption of food based on the Services.
Butler does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Recipes and cooking suggestions provided through the Services are for general informational purposes only. Butler does not review or verify user-saved, imported, or AI-generated recipes for accuracy, safety, or suitability. You are responsible for proper food handling, preparation, and allergen awareness.
Dietary preferences are optional and non-medical.
8. Payments & Subscriptions
8.1 Payment Methods. Butler offers subscriptions through different platforms depending on how you access the Services. If you download and subscribe through the Butler iOS mobile application, subscriptions must be purchased through the Apple App Store using Apple’s In-App Purchase system (“In-App Purchases”). Subscriptions purchased through our website at ButlerKitchen.com are processed via Stripe (“Web Purchases”). Your billing relationship will be with the respective platform used at the time of purchase.
8.2 Apple In-App Purchases. For subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store:
Billing: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of your selected plan.
Management: You can manage or turn off auto-renew in your Apple ID Account Settings at any time after purchase.
Restore Purchases: If you reinstall the app or change devices, use the "Restore Purchases" button within the app settings to reactivate your subscription.
8.3 Web Purchases (Stripe). For subscriptions purchased via ButlerKitchen.com:
Billing: Payments are processed by Stripe. Butler does not store your credit card data.
Management: Web-based subscriptions must be managed or cancelled through your account dashboard on ButlerKitchen.com.
8.4 Free Trials. Butler may offer a free trial, including a 7-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to begin a free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and your payment method will be charged.
8.5 Refunds. All purchases are final. For In-App Purchases, refund requests must be directed to Apple Support. For Web Purchases, contact support@ButlerKitchen.com.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You may not misuse the Services, upload illegal content, infringe rights, attempt to bypass security, interfere with the Services, or use the Services for unlawful or harmful purposes.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms or misuse of the Services.
Users may delete accounts at any time.
11. Intellectual Property
All Butler branding and software are owned by Elizabeth Rider International, Inc. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of any Butler intellectual property.
12. Disclaimers & Liability
12.1 "As Is" Basis. The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
12.2 No Guarantee of Outcomes. Butler does not guarantee any specific health, nutrition, budgeting, savings, or lifestyle outcomes from use of the Services. Any weight loss, health, or financial claims are illustrative and not a guarantee of results.
12.3 Limitation of Liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Elizabeth Rider International, Inc. and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.
12.4 Right to Modify Services. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or portion of the Services at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any such changes or for any loss of access to user-generated content.
12.5 Force Majeure. Butler is not responsible for delays, interruptions, or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including third-party service outages, internet disruptions, or acts of God.
12.6 Apple App Store Additional Terms. You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Butler only, and not with Apple, Inc. (“Apple”). Butler is solely responsible for the App and its content. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be Butler’s sole responsibility. Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for resolving any disputes between you and Butler relating to the App or the Services.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: These Terms contain a binding arbitration agreement and a class action waiver that affect your legal rights. Please review Section 13 carefully.
13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
Washington State law applies, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved exclusively by final and binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in Seattle, Washington, unless brought individually in small claims court.
By using the Services, you knowingly and voluntarily waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in class actions.
This dispute resolution provision survives termination of your account or use of the Services.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
